Mary Harte (Godmother)

For the month of September, I am again riding to cure kids’ cancer in 2026! But I am also dedicating this year’s challenge to my dear Aunt Mary (Godmother), who succumbed to cancer in 2025. She is sorely missed by all of us that knew and loved her. ❤️‍🩹

My Story

This September will be my 6th year participating in the Great Cycle Challenge (Wow-hard to fathom)! It has been a privilege and an honor to be a small part of this organization.

I have ridden over 3,400 miles and we, together, have raised close to $14,000.00.

I have set a miles goal of 725 for the month of September and a financial goal of $3,500.00. If successful, we will surpass 4,000 miles ridden and over $17,000.00 raised for this terrific cause.

I look forward to meeting and surpassing both goals with your help. All donations go to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund.

Only 7 days to go before we challenge ourselves to ride for all of the kids’ battling cancer, with the goal of finding a cure.

A big thank you to all for your donations. Your generosity has surpassed 2,500.00 to date. The GCC rewards any/all riders a SuperHero jersey when that threshold is met.

I’ve chosen to donate my jersey to Kai. A 3 year old ambassador for GCC, who is currently battling cancer.

I am in training to surpass the 725 mile goal I set for myself.
